A new public mural initiative, Articulate: Baltimore, has been working with artists Ways, J. Digital, Jessie Unterhalter, Katey Truhn, Indigo, HKS 181, Chris Stain, Billy Node, Pixel Pancho, and 2501 to transform the vacant buildings and spaces on North Howard in and around the newly designated Bromo Tower Arts & Entertainment District. Co-curated by Stefan Hauswald and Jesse James, Articulate: Baltimore is the second major public art initiative to take place in Baltimore in 2012, the first being Open Walls Baltimore located in Station North, curated by Gaia. According to Articulate's website, another mural project will soon be underway and will be located on Howard Street north of North Avenue.
We shot a few of our own pictures of Articulate's murals, and you can find several more amazing photos along with a map of the murals at Articulate's site and several photos can be found at Brooklyn Street Art.
